TCC - #54

Hello everyone, we have a new challenge here at The Card Concept.
We have a beautiful for you to get inspired. You can make any of the styles defines by the designers.

I was inspired by the colors of the picture, I chose Uniko Studio - cosmos and did masking and stamping, and then colored the flowers using water color pens.
The sentiment is also from Uniko but from a different set, I decided to add it on a black strip and used foam adhesive to add it., and a few jewels to finish off.

A close up at the sentiment.

Do stop by the Challenge blog to see more inspiration from our talented DT.

Monochromatic shaker

Good day everyone!
I managed another card yesterday, this was more like an experiment, and it looks decent enough that I decided to post it.
I wanted to make a shaker using Paper Smooches mason jar die. I decided to use a silver card stock for the die cut, and I used the negative here, I trimmed along the jar outline with my scissors, and then added acetate to it to create he shaker part, I used some mixed sequins here for the shaker part, all in red. The jar was then added on the top of the card base.
For the flowers, I started with spraying some distress ink spray on a water color paper and once it was dry, I stamped the flowers from Uniko Studio - cosmos, and simply fussy cut it.
I then added the flowers as if they are falling off the jar, so in a random fashion.
The sentiment is heat embossed in gold and is also from Uniko, I fussy cut it along the word, the other part is inked using a black ink. A few jewels to finish off the card.
I have too many pictures for this card, as I have both gold and silver, and you know it is always tricky to click pictures with these 2 colors.

The ink spray, I used fired brick spray here on a scrap of watercolor paper.

Uniko's cosmos one layer card

Hello everyone, It's been a while since I put my foot in my craft room. I am observing that by the end of the month, I kind of struggle with my mojo! I practically pushed myself to create something.
I made a one layer, using Uniko Studio - cosmos, I used the colors from a Challenge to get me started.
I masked the edges of the card, and then stamped the flower in blushing bride from SU and peacock feathers. The sentiment is stamped using vintage photo and a black ink. A few jewels to finish off.

Water colored and fussy cut

Happy Sunday everyone, the weekend is going bit busy for me as usual. I have to run an errand later, need to go shopping for fabric, as my daughter needs another dress, this time a casual, she will be graduating from her Middle School in May!!! WOW, I find it hard to believe. I had already designed the dress, she loved the dress I designed in December. So doing it again.

Ok this card is waiting for more than a week to be shared.

I printed the Digi images from Aurora wings on water color paper, the I won these last year. Once the coloring was done, I trimmed around the design.   Colored , and added Heidid Swapp's mixed media script stamp for the background in wild wasabi. I added the fron to a textured light green base. The sentiment is from HLS, and added a gold twine, and few sequins and jewels to finish off.

Mom - Take 2

Hey all, happy Friday. I was working till now, and then the elementary school got cancelled because of heavy rain, very soon after lunch. I was with the grade 6's, and they were pretty fast in calling their parents for pick up. Once all the kids from my class were picked up, since I am a substitute teacher, I can go home, unlike the full time teachers :D

I just got home, my kids are still at school, secondary classes are still on, and they are better off without me, taking their school bus. I have no work so sat down to blog, have a couple of cards, waiting to be shared.

I am sharing a card which I made yesterday afternoon.
I started off with the AlteNew roses , and used the color palette from them. I did masking ans stamping here, and once I was happy with the stamped images, I fussy cut, and then I also die cut a frame using MFT rectangle die. I have added the frame partly, then used peacock feathers and another dark blue shade of distress ink to add splatters. Then added some tissue bits and finally the roses on top.
A few sequins to finish off. The sentiment is from Hero Arts - Sketched letters, and Woodware crafts.

AlteNew - April Inspiration Challenge: From Places Abroad – Thailand
I am a big fan of the Thailand Palace in Bangkok, it is one of the most picturesque places on earth. I tried to incorporate some gold along with the colors, as for me without gold it is incomplete to take inspiration from the this palace. I enjoyed visiting this palace and have loads of pictures from here.

TIMEOUT Challenge
I have used both fussy cut and die cut, and my card is a mother's day celebration card.

6 stamp sets and one CAS card

Hello all, I am with a card, which was made yesterday afternoon. Can you believe that I have used 6 different stamp sets to create this one card. Also, this card has taken me 4 tries, I literally had to trash the earlier 3 , which is not me.

These are the stamps sets I had put to use.

I Started with stamping the umbrella from WPlus9 in black, and then stamped the flowers from PS, in pink and orange shades of ink, the leaves are from ME. The color palette is from Color Throwdown.
The I chose the Dragonflies from Waffle Flower, and my stamping was pretty much done.
I started with the sentiment now, Firstly I stamped the long sentence from Woodware Crafts, foloowed by MOM using Hero Arts - sketched letters, and lastly Thanks from Waffle Flower.
I finished off with a few pink jewels, and added the front to a textured light green base.
I am glad that the card has come together looking good.

Just one more ;)

I am up with another card, actually this is my third post of the day, well this is how it turned out!

A very simple one layer card here, I had used the HLS - mix mash stamps here, I started off with masking to create a panel to work with, I used SU inks - misty marina and pink pirouette to sponge, and then used the same inks for stamping as well. The sentiment is also from the same set. Didn't add any embellishments, kept the design in focus that's all.
